Enquadramento

Em Fevereiro de 2007, Manuel Caetano e Jorge Juncais associaram-se e constituíram uma nova empresa registada como Powergenius ("PWG"), e subsequentemente, adquiriram, directa e indirectamente as acções representativas da totalidade do capital social da Pinto Basto Energia ("PBE"), onde ambos os sócios haviam trabalhado juntos.

A PBE teve origem na autonomização de uma área de negócios que, durante muitos anos, havia estado integrada num grande grupo de empresas (estabelecido originalmente desde 1771) e como tal herdou a tradição desse grupo.

A PWG opera essencialmente como prestadora de serviços de apoio especializado e consultoria técnica e de gestão comercial, com especial dedicação às energias renováveis, nomeadamente energia eólica e solar.

A PBE prossegue a sua actividade na comercialização, representação e distribuição de equipamentos e peças destinados à produção de energia, entre outros, grupos geradores Diesel e a Gás para aplicações estacionárias, marítimas e tracção ferroviária, cogeração e geração descentralizada, turbinas/centrais mini-hidricas, e equipamento AT e MT para redes de transporte e distribuição de energia eléctrica, transformadores e aparelhagem de manobra GIS.

Background

In February 2007, Manuel Caetano and Jorge Juncais, have associated themselves and set up the new company registered as Powergenius ("PWG"), and subsequently, directly, and indirectly, acquired the shares representing the whole of the capital stock of Pinto Basto Energia ("PBE"), where both Partners had been employed and worked together.

PBE originated from a spin-off of the business unit which operated for many years inside a larger group of companies, (originally established in 1771) and therefore inherited the group’s pedigree.

PWG operates primarily as provider of technical and commercial advisory/consultancy services, with special focus in renewable energy, namely wind power and solar.

PBE continued pursuing its activity in sales, representation and distribution of equipment and parts for power generation, among others, Diesel and gas powered generating sets for stationary, marine and rail traction applications, CHP and distributed generation, small hydro turbines/power plants, HV and MV equipment for transport and power distribution networks, transformers and gas insulated switchgear.

Equipa de Gestão

A PWG e a PBE partilham a mesma equipa de gestão, com sólida formação e experiência, em resultado dum número significativo de anos de actividade continuada nos domínios da energia e do ambiente.

Manuel Caetano, licenciou-se em Engenharia Electrotécnica pelo IST, é membro da Ordem dos Engenheiros, e tem pós-graduação em gestão empresarial MBA (ISCTE). Ao longo dos seus mais de 27 anos de carreira, ocupou diversas posições de direcção sénior e acumulou uma experiência considerável. Línguas: Português (língua-materna) Inglês (“business fluent”), Francês (fluente), Alemão, Espanhol.

Jorge Juncais, é licenciado em Engenharia Mecânica (ENIDH/IST) e pós-graduado em gestão empresarial (ISCTE). Trabalha nesta área há mais de 17 anos e ao longo da sua carreira ocupou diversas posições de direcção quer a nível técnico quer comercial. Línguas: Português (língua-materna) Inglês (“business fluent”), Alemão, Espanhol.

O forte espirito empreendedor e vincada orientação comercial, em conjunto com experiência relevante na condução de negócios em ambiente multicultural, possibilita a prestação de serviços de elevado valor acrescentado às nossas Representadas e Parceiros de Negócio.

Management Team

PWG and PBE share the same management team having solid engineering and business management background, as a result of the many years of continued activity in the fields of energy and environment.

Manuel Caetano, graduated in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University in Lisbon (IST) and holds an MBA (ISCTE). Manuel has held several senior managerial positions during his career of over 27 years and gathered considerable experience in our line of business and market place. Languages: Portuguese (native speaker) English (business fluent), French (fluent), German, Spanish.

Jorge Juncais, holds a University degree in Mechanical Engineering (ENIDH/IST) and post graduate studies in Business Administration (ISCTE). Jorge has been in the business for 17 years and throughout his career has taken both technical and commercial managerial positions. Languages: Portuguese (native speaker) English (business fluent), German, Spanish.

The team has a strong entrepreneurial mindset, driven by success and strong sales orientation, which in combination with relevant experience of conducting business in multi-cultural environment, enables the provision of high value added services to our Principals and Business Partners.
